Archipelagos of the River Sea: Between Dry and Flooded Amazons
Archipelagos of the River Sea explores the environmental shifts occurring in the Amazon River basin in Brazil, focusing on its fluvial archipelagos that are at risk of disappearing due to climate change. The goal is to analyze the dynamics of these islands, within their specific condition as pocket plots of tropical forests affected by seasonal flooding, while understanding their social and environmental contexts. The research employs three investigative approaches-cartographic analysis, fieldwork, and analytical drawings — to create an atlas of changes of these unique environments.
