PLUG – IN SANCTUARY
This project promotes the use of bamboo scaffolding, a cultural heritage of Hong Kong, to create an innovative housing solution that reimagines urban living.
I aim to blend conventional craftsmanship with modern technology by combining traditional scaffolding techniques with modular prefabricated units. The goal is to nurture a vibrant community and create a new layer of urban fabric that enhances flexibility and sustainability in future cities.
Flexible Architectural System
The scaffolding serves as a versatile backbone, allowing for adaptation to various site conditions while maximizing usable space.
Community-Centric Spaces
The layout promotes communal areas that enhance social interaction among residents, addressing the need for community integration in urban settings.
Temporary and Sustainable
Designed for temporary use, the structure can be assembled in a short period of time, making it is an efficient solution for immediate housing needs while permanent structure.
