Lick creek commercial district is a pedestrian outdoor shopping street in College Station. It serves as an outdoor space for the high-end community nearby, and also provides a unique shopping experience for people.

The ‘creek’ is a key concept for the landscape design. I reserved the existing pond and redesigned it as the retention pond. The sidewalks are along with a retention pond, to let customers get close to the water feature and therefore, enhance their shopping experience. Also, sustainable strategies are applied on the site.

On the other side of the district, I designed a modern geometric water feature to emphasize the ‘creek’ concept.

Local plants are used to minimize the use of irrigation water.
